About Us
We are Tom and Abi! Thank you for taking the time to take a glance into our lives! We got married in May of 2015 and are still in love today. In a busy world, we make it a point to prioritize our marriage and family. God comes first, family second, and work comes third. We've known and planned on adopting since before getting married, and we continue to hope and pray that the Lord chooses to bring children into our home for us to love, teach, and raise.
We are looking forward to growing our family through any of the following adoption opportunities:

Tom's TESTIMONY
I was raised in a Christian household and was a 'carnal' Christian until very recently (2020). I attended church and would mentally affirm a Christian lifestyle, but my life was full of hidden sins and rebellion from God. Over the past five years or so, my wife and I became convicted of our lifestyles and our sins and started wrestling with the concept of truly living for Christ. I joined and started a men's Bible study and became involved in church. In 2020, I decided it was time to be baptized as an outward profession of my personal service to Christ. The Lord opened my eyes and showed me the depths of my depravity without Him, and I thank Him for saving me and giving me a purpose and a life worth living. God gave us His Word to guide us in this life. His Word is life, and he delights in those who seek Him, remember Him, delight in Him, and keep His law before them (Psalm 119:33-40, Malachi 3:16). We do this through constant engagement with His Word. "So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God." Romans 10:17
Abigail's TESTIMONY
Being raised in church, I made a statement of faith and was baptized circa 1998. I was only 6-7 at the time, and my memories of those events are vague. As I matured my walk with the Lord, I realized as a woman in my mid-twenties that I was living completely 'my way' and just wanted Jesus to bless whatever door I wanted to walk through. Through a series of events and the Lord working through my friends and family, I realized church had become just a religion to me; an 'escape' that made me feel spiritual. I realized I needed to repent from the sins in my heart and life and totally surrender to Him. I made that profession in the Winter of 2021-2022 and was re-baptized Fall of 2022. Since then, I have really understood what Scripture means when it talks about 'the new creation' and the old things passing away - it's a new birth! I strive to walk with the Lord daily and I find myself enjoying prayer, church, reading my Bible, etc. No longer a burden or guilt trip or just a religion. I am thankful to understand this distinction finally! I often pray for others in my family and friend group who are still walking in sin and deception and look for opportunities to share my testimony and the Truth of the Word with others. It's amazing how many opportunities God blesses me with when I'm willing and open to be used by Him!
Letter to you

In our mid-late twenties, we realized that we needed to give the Lord more than just our time on Sunday mornings - we needed to live for God every day and develop a relationship with him from the heart. We started to get more involved in church and the community. We taught 3rd and 4th-grade kids Sunday School class, regularly served in the church nursery, and started prayer walking, meeting, and helping friends and neighbors. Tom later went on to be an assistant teacher of the 'Young Marrieds' class at our church.
Vision For Raising A Child
Proverbs 22:6 gives wise advice when it calls for parents to 'train' up their children. It's not enough to simply expose them to the best examples or even be the best example/role model possible. It takes training; heart training. For us, these are not responsibilities for daycares, schools, or even other family members. There are great programs for kids, like the Awana Bible memorization classes Abi took growing up. But training and raising our children will be our primary responsibility - and we look forward to that. It's easy to say how things are going to be when you become a parent - an ideal of sorts. While there is always an adjustment period for new parents, we already practice many of these things as we direct our nieces, nephews, and church students to the Word of God for age-appropriate lessons on behavior, obedience, faith, etc. It's not just about training kids - it's also about training ourselves to be humble and submit to God's leadership in our lives to train and lead a family.
We feel very blessed to be at this point in our marriage and our walks with God to open our home and hearts to children. We accept and trust in God's plan to grow our family through adoption. We don't come from wealthy families. But we have worked hard, studied hard, saved, and trusted in the Lord at every turn, and we feel blessed beyond measure.
ABOUT Tom
Tom is super smart - he has that look where he is always thinking. When he says something witty or silly (which is often), people look surprised because he has such a serious expression. I love him! We were both home-schooled. We were introduced in 2012 on Tom’s community college graduation day after we jumped into a group photo; it was love at first sight. Tom graduated from OU in 2016 with a degree in Electrical Engineering and has worked as an engineer ever since. Tom is the oldest of 9 siblings - he has been around kids his whole life and loves them.
