OVERVIEW
Christian Homes & Family Services provides FREE maternity services for women with unplanned pregnancies in hopes of giving each pregnant woman the time and opportunity to consider whether she is ready to be a parent, and if not, if adoption is the best choice for herself and her baby. On a case-by-case basis, the free services often including meeting basic needs such as housing, nutrition, and clothing; pregnancy-related health care services; legal services, counseling and education. If the woman decides on adoption, the ministry also aids each woman in selecting a Christian couple to adopt her child, facilitates the open adoption, and provides free post-adoption services for her lifetime and that of her biological child. We are staffed by terrific listeners who just want to help, and do not judge. Learn more about the specific services at www.adoptmybaby.org.
Christian Homes also recruits, vets, prepares and facilitates domestic infant adoptions by Christian couples. Christian Homes is eager to work with couples who are committed to the Lord, committed to their marriage, and committed to raising their child to know the love of God and His plan for their eternal salvation. The ministry is licensed in Texas and Oklahoma and works with pregnant women from all over the US willing to relocate to Texas for the duration of their pregnancy.
In any given year, the ministry will assist 60-70 pregnant women. Each year, about 20 women will choose adoption for their babies.
The ministry also provides free Adoption Option Training for pregnancy resource centers and others who want to know how to respond to women who are in crisis pregnancies and need to know more about adoption. The training answers questions such as "Who chooses the adopting parents?" "Does the biological father have to be involved?" "Who names the baby?" "What should I say to a young woman who just said "I love my baby too much to consider adoption. I'll just have an abortion.""
