About Us

Hi! We are Brie and Kevin. We first met each other in college and married soon after graduating. Kevin works in developing and maintaining safety programs in a science foundation while Brie works in accounting.

Brie has been called to adopt since very young.  We also tried to have children of our own but were unsuccessful, we lost a daughter at 16 days after birth, a son after 20 weeks early birth/miscarriage as well as two early miscarriages.  These events have caused us to go through with our adoption plans a bit earlier.  Our family is also made up of several adopted people and this is something we wish to continue out of other’s need as well as our love, Kevin’s mother, uncle and Brie’s aunt are all adopted.  You don’t need common blood to be family.  After considerable prayer, now also seems the right time to look into and start the adoptive process.

We live in a safe and comfortable suburban house with our very friendly corgis (dogs). Our neighborhood has many wonderful resources for a developing child to be able to thrive, including many parks, trails in the woods and along local beaches, libraries, schools, and museums within walking distance. As well as restaurants and grocery stores from a incredibly diverse range of cultures and ethnicities. We also have valuable resources including medical offices and hospitals in the immediate vacinity.

We like to spend our time with constructive hobbies, including cooking nutritious and delicious meals using food from our gardens. We also enjoy traveling to the coast and exploring areas in our state and neighboring ones. We have a love of enjoying games together, be it board games, video games, puzzles, or books.

We are looking forward to growing our family through any of the following adoption opportunities:

Kevin's TESTIMONY

I believe in The Father, Son, and Holy Spirit and the importance that God will provide through love. I was raised in an ELCA Lutheran home and family that has a strong belief in the goodness of God and the importance of trusting in God’s mysteries. Through attending a Catholic university, I was able to meet Brie and also to see more of other denominations within the Christian faith from the strong interfaith teachings of my university. After marrying Brie in a Catholic wedding, I found myself called to convert to Catholicism. Through many hardships, including the loss of our daughter and son, I have always known God’s love and the peace that can only come from this faith. I know that God will provide what we need and will help us to also provide the love and family needed for a child in need of stability and love. I believe in angels, miracles, and the strong hope that only faith in God can provide.

Brianne's TESTIMONY

I believe that God is three in one, Father, Son and Holy Spirit.  I believe in the existence of angels.  I believe in works and miracles of the Holy Spirit and that these continue today.  I believe that Mary gave birth to Jesus as a virgin and that he opened the way for all to get to heaven through his death and resurrection.  I believe that everyone can be saved if they believe in Jesus and live how he wants us to live, by loving each other and doing right by each other, hence the 10 commandments.

Letter to you

Our Christian Commitment

Kevin was raised Lutheran and Brie was raised Catholic. Kevin converted to Chatolicism after marrying Brie. Kevin and Brie both attended a Jesuit college, where they initially met each other.

We love attending weekly mass together every Sunday morning and participating in the holy sacriments. We have in the past been involved in various activities within the church, including Brie having previously been a member of the choir and Kevin having previously played in a handbell choir. We love attending various church events and events that help to support the local Catholic school, including education events and fundraisers.

Vision For Raising A Child

We plan to raise our child in a home where the bible is read and studied, where we pray at meal times and regularly bless the home.  The child will be attending Catholic school and we as parents will be involved in the many activiites that entails.  The child will also attend various faith and bible classes with the church depending on age and evenutally will attend confirmation classes before partaking in the sacrament of Confirmation where they declare themselves adults in the church.  Christian music will be highly encouraged but not pushed and there will be appropriate parent rights and authority over electronics and social media etc.  Age appropriate use of electronics will be maintained and learning how to care for others and work to maintain the home will be taught in age appropriate stages.  We will have many gatherings with the extended family as well and celebrate holy days accordingly.  The child will also learn to enjoy God's creation by visiting parks, nature, oceans etc and having opportunities to learn more about our world by going to musems, art exhibits, science exhibits etc.
