About Us

Our names are Crissy and Thomas. Crissy is a pediatric nurse and Thomas is a former police officer and current first responder for 9-1-1. The thing we want most in this world is to have a family. We have been married for nine years, and we did fertility treatments for the first six of them. We were originally introduced in 2007 and over the next few years were introduced by a few more. We finally decided to give it a shot. We got married in November 2013, Over the next several years of medical intervention, treatments and one lost pregnancy it was discovered that Crissy had unexplained infertility. We still have the dream to start a family. We know that families are made in many different ways and we are hopeful that our family is still out there. We truly feel as though God has led us to adoption, and we hope and pray that this will finally be our opportunity to create our family.

We are looking forward to growing our family through any of the following adoption opportunities:

Thomas's TESTIMONY

I have known that God made me to be a parent ever since I was a young man in my church assisting with Vacation Bible School and Sunday School at my church in Marble Falls. I have always felt an ability to connect with children and help them grow and learn. This intrinsic part of myself has continued to be a bright spark with guidance from God, my wife (Crissy), and my church. Our journey with infertility and the path that has led us to adoption has also lead us to a spiritual maturity that allows us to lean into God and put our faith in His plan for us. Ultimately, I pray daily for the child God has planned for my family and continue to put my trust in Him.

Crissy's TESTIMONY

God has put on our hearts that we are to have a family. Over the last seven years I honestly believe that He has led us through our fertility journey to make us stronger and better parents and to teach us to be patient and follow His plan. Everything we tried fertility wise went wrong in some way, and was incredibly stressful on us, my body, our lives, and our marriage. Since discussing adoption, both Thomas and I have felt a sense of calm and peace, and a true sense of excitement. I very much feel that this was where God was leading us all along and I was just too stubborn to give in. Through our journey He has given us a more profound understanding of family that has only increased our longing to adopt a child and raise them in a Christ centered home.

Our Christian Commitment

I came into salvation at a church women’s dinner in 2016. I went on an invitation from my “sister-in-law” Kristina Bell. I was not feeling like I wanted to go. I had cancelled a lot on her, so I went anyway. Once the presentation started several members of the church were involved showing terrible times in their lives. I cried through the whole thing. When Pastor Tammy asked people to come to the front and speak the sinner’s prayer, I went. I felt a wave of calm come over me. I went home that night and told my husband what had happened, and I told him what I had felt and that I wanted to start going to this church- I felt like I fit in there. That night I knew that I wanted to do whatever I could to make sure I would one day see my daughter in Heaven. We joined the church, the first I had joined as an adult, and the first I have attended regularly since I was a child. I love Generations and was baptized there on February 26. 2017. I belong to the Glitter Womens Group at church, as well as I attend bible studies.. My husband and I are greeters once a month in the church lobby, we belong to a small group that meets every other week, and I am also the Chef for class 101 at church.– Crissy

I came into salvation when I was 14 years old and attending a church youth camp. During praise and worship I felt and overwhelming feeling of love and desire to commit myself to Christ and be saved. I belong to the Mens group at church, I also participate in the mens bible studies.- Thomas

ABOUT OUR HOME

Our home is full of laughter is frequently recorded while one of our dogs (Usually Cooper) does something goofy and must be documented. We live on 2 acres in the country and the closest town is about 15 away, but that is another part that we love, it is quiet and we often are outside enjoying the trees and wildlife.

ABOUT OUR WORLD

Our world revolves around God, family, and church. We are a part of a wonderful congregation at Generations Church and are grateful to have a church family that is so supportive and encouraging about the journey we have been on to grow our family. We also have a church life-group that is a strong faith-based foundation for us to voice our sadness during down times and celebrate during successes.
