About Us

Hello! We are Daniel and Marissa. We met at church in 2021 and quickly became close friends. In 2022, we went on our first date, and both knew it would be our “last first date.” One year later, we were married and have been joyfully building a life together ever since.

We love staying active, hiking, skiing, running, and playing soccer, but also enjoy slower moments like getting lost in a good book or playing a board game. Serving others, building meaningful relationships, and living out our faith in Jesus are at the center of our lives.

Individually, even before we were married, God placed the desire to adopt on each of our hearts. We have been prayerfully hoping and planning for the Lord to grow our family through adoption. We are incredibly grateful for the journeys that brought us here and feel honored to be ready to love, nurture, and welcome a child as our own.

We are looking forward to growing our family through any of the following adoption opportunities:

Daniel's TESTIMONY

I was raised in a Christian home by loving parents, and faith was always a part of my upbringing. Growing up, however, church felt more like a routine or a religion than a personal relationship. As I got older, I became more focused on sports and gradually drifted away from church involvement. Toward the end of high school, my parents began attending a new church, and through that transition I became more connected to the youth group. During that time, my understanding of Jesus began to change, and my faith became more personal. This ultimately led me to participate in a missions gap year after high school. During that year, I truly fell in love with Jesus and, the following summer, fully dedicated my life to Him. Since then, my faith has continued to grow as I have remained committed to serving the Lord. I am actively involved in my local church, regularly serving and investing in the community there. My faith now shapes how I live, love others, and approach family and commitment.

Marissa's TESTIMONY

I grew up in a Christian home where my dad was one of the pastors at our church. I never doubted God's existence - my parents were faithful in teaching me about Jesus and were amazing examples of what it meant to follow Him. However, in middle school, I began to feel like something was missing. I prayed “the prayer” to ask Jesus into my life over and over, hoping to feel the connection I longed for. But God still felt distant. I wanted to know Him personally, but I didn’t understand what that looked like. The summer before my freshman year of high school, I went to a church camp where the pastor focused his messages on having a relationship with Jesus. He said, “You can’t grow a relationship with someone unless you spend time with them.” That simple truth hit me hard. I realized Jesus wanted a personal relationship with me—and to build that relationship, I needed to spend time with Him. From that point on, everything changed. Throughout high school, my faith deepened as I began to read the Word and bring everything to God in prayer. Ever since then, He has continued to guide, grow, and shape me through every season of life. One verse that has drastically shaped my understanding and purpose is Colossians 1:16: “All things were created through Him and for Him.” Realizing that I was not only created by God but also for Him filled me with purpose. It gave me a clear vision for my life—that in all I do, I am to live for Christ.

Our Christian Commitment

We are deeply grateful for Jesus and what He has done for us, and we desire to live lives that reflect who He is through hospitality, service, and love. Our faith is central to our marriage and shapes the way we love others and build community. One of the greatest blessings in our lives is our church, where we are encouraged by meaningful worship, teaching directly from the Bible, and a community that cares for others.

We both enjoy serving in the high school ministry, and Marissa has recently begun helping in the nursery. Before we met, we each had opportunities to serve overseas, and after we were married, we were grateful to lead a mission trip together to Nepal.

In addition to gathering on Sundays, we meet during the week with a small group for Bible study, prayer, and connection. Our church has provided a supportive and loving community where we are able to grow in our faith, serve alongside others, and walk through life together.

Vision For Raising A Child

Our vision for raising a child in a Christian home is centered on living out our faith and modeling Christ’s love in everyday life. We believe our responsibility as parents is to guide them with example, teaching them the ways of faith while showing them they are deeply valued and loved not only by us, but by God as well. We want them to grow up knowing they were created with purpose, with a unique calling, and that they are never alone in their journey. Ultimately, we pray our example and the Holy Spirit leads our child to love and follow Jesus.
