About Us
Hello! We are Micah and Achelle, along with our three amazing kiddos - Jackson, Jeremiah, and Sofia. Thank you for taking the time to look at our family profile. We have been married for twelve years and have been blessed with our three amazing children, We have been blessed twice by the gift of adoption and we are excited to welcome another child into our home and family. Our house is often loud and crazy but full of love and memories to last a lifetime.
We first met during our Freshman year in college, initially connecting through mutual friends and playing intramurals together. Micah noticed Achelle right away and thought she was cute and sweet. Achelle was attracted to Micah's lighthearted and goofy personality. We grew closer and began dating. Throughout college, we enjoyed studying together in the library, taking walks around campus, and became better friends. Two years later, Micah proposed, and we married a few months later in July of 2013. After college graduation, we settled in Micah's hometown in Wisconsin to be near family. Over the past twelve years of marriage, we've learned to lean on one another and grow in both the good and hard times. We credit our strong marriage to our foundation in Jesus and our commitment to love one another daily.
We believe life is best lived together in the everyday - whether it be doing dishes, yard work, playing with the kids, or relaxing together on a family vacation. Our goal each day is to cherish the small things and enjoy each moment we are given with each other. We strive to create a home that is full of love, respect, and laughter. We love to spend time together and enjoy being outdoors. As a family, we enjoy bike rides, board games, camping, playing in our yard and just being together! We are a homeschool family, which allows us to have a lot of flexibility in our days. It’s a huge blessing for our children to be together daily and develop deep relationships with one another.

Micah's TESTIMONY
I began my relationship with Christ when I was very young. I have God-honoring parents that taught me my need for a Savior at a young age. They explained, as God's word does, that all people are sinners and need a Savior. We cannot do anything on our own to save ourselves. God is holy and perfect and we cannot be right with Him. I trusted in Christ and what He did for me on the cross and since then I have been baptized and work on walking with Him daily in Scripture and in prayer. Christ has given His life for me and I have a desire to walk the path that He wants me to, not the path that I often think is best - which can be difficult but something that I work on.
Achelle's TESTIMONY
I grew up in a strong Christian family and had the blessing of hearing and knowing the Gospel of Jesus since I was born. I accepted Christ at a young age (6) after my dad explained what Christ had done for me on the cross. I continued to grow in my faith throughout my childhood, but I really made my faith my own when I attended Bible College. This is the point in my life where my relationship with Jesus Christ became very personal and not just what I believed because my family believed it. Jesus died in my place so that I could have a relationship with Him and spend eternity with Him. The purpose of my life is to serve and God and glorify Him in all that I do. I am so thankful for God's grace and faithfulness in my life and the freedom that He gives us when we trust Him! I work on being in His word daily so that I can continue to grow in Him and teach others about His love and grace to us.

Our hope in Jesus is what we center our lives on. We believe that Jesus Christ died on the cross for our sins and that in Him we are forgiven. We are active members of our local church, which feels like an extension of our family. Several families at our church have adopted and our church community has supported our adoptions. Achelle in involved on the worship team (she plays the drums!), and also oversees the kid's jr. church program. Micah serves as a Deacon and also runs our church social media page and website. We are invovled with our church community on a regular basis and enjoy doing life with our fellow believers.
Vision For Raising A Child
We cherish each of our children as precious gifts from God and believe that they are each created with a unique purpose for their lives. Our ultimate goal as parents is to help our children grow up into people who love God and love others. This begins with the love and respect we show them at home. We strive to create a nurturing home where our children feel safe, loved, and valued. We desire to give our children everything they need to thrive and grow into who God created them to be. Family is everything to us and is the biggest focus of our lives. We believe that parenting is about connecting with our children on a daily basis, guiding and correcting them in areas where they need help, and supporting their natural strengths and God given abilities.
ABOUT Micah
Micah is an incredible husband, father, and person. He is hardworking, fun loving, and has the ability to stay calm, even in the stresses of life. His sense of humor brings laughter to our days, reminding us not to take life, or ourselves, too seriously. He is a natural leader and is fun to be around. He is hands-on with our kids, nurturing their imaginations through play. He is such a fun dad! He loves sports and played basketball, soccer, and baseball while growing up. It's fun to see him play sports with our kids and coach their soccer teams too. He loves being outdoors, practicing photography, and spending time with his family. As a Business Analyst at a family friendly company, Micah is able to put his family first. He is a very involved dad and our kids love him deeply!
EXTENDED FAMILY
Micah comes from a big, close-knit family with many relatives living in our town. Micah's family is full of laughter and affection, and we cherish our many family gatherings. We are blessed that Micah's parents, lovingly known as Papa and Nana by our kids, live just down the road on their family farm. We visit their farm often where the kids enjoy outdoor play with cousins and many tractor rides. Micah's family has embraced our adoption journey with support, showing love for each of our children equally. Adoption is rooted in Micah's family, with several relatives having chosen to adopt.
WORK & EDUCATION
I work as a Business Analyst at a family friendly company. I enjoy my job and the work-life balance that it offers.
HOBBIES & INTERESTS
Favorite Tradition: We have pizza with my family nearly every Friday night, a tradition we call "Pizza Friday." It's a relaxed time for us to hang out as a family and watch the cousins play together for the evening at the farm.
Hobbies/Interests :I love sports, photography, grilling, eating pizza, playing with my kids, and hanging out with family and friends.
ABOUT Achelle
How Micah Describes Achelle:
Achelle is my closest friend and life simply wouldn't be the same without her. Achelle is kind, loving, and thoughtful. She is a devoted wife and mother, nurturing our family not only with love, but with a ton of delicious meals! Achelle is a highly motivated person and works hard in all she does. Her selflessness and love for our family are truly remarkable.
She enjoys music and plays drums and percussion and regularly plays drums on our church worship team, which is so fun to watch! In her free time, she loves running, making food, being outdoors as much as possible, and spending time with family and friends. Achelle is able to stay home with our kids and has started homeschool - she does an amazing job at meeting our kids’ needs and caring for them each day!
EXTENDED FAMILY
Achelle's family is spread across the United States. Though we don't get to see each other frequently, Holiday gatherings are always filled with joy as we catch up and enjoy spending time together. Achelle's parents, called Grandpa and Grandma by our kids, live about an hour away. They play an active role in our kids' lives, often attending their soccer games, visiting for a fun Saturday together, or taking the kids for a weekend sleepover at their house. Achelle's family wholeheartedly supports our adoption journey and loves each of our children unconditionally.
WORK & EDUCATION
I am a stay-at-home mama and now a homeschool mama! I love being able to be with my kids daily and teach them. It's a blessing to be home and to have the opportunity to watch them learn and grow each day.
HOBBIES & INTERESTS

Jackson
Jackson is our oldest and our biological child. He is all about tractors, semis, and Legos! He is a protective and nurturing big brother and it’s fun to watch him interact with his siblings. Jackson has a tender heart and is always looking out for the needs of others.
Jeremiah
Jeremiah came into our family through adoption. He is outgoing, full of endless energy, and always up for an adventure. His big smile and big personality always light up any room he walks into. Jackson and Jeremiah share a very special brotherly bond and it is clear that they were meant to be brothers.
Sofia
Sofia also came into our family through adoption. She came into our family without warning when we got a call that not only had we been chosen by her birth mom, but that she was already born and waiting for us! Just like her entrance into our family, she is a whirlwind of energy, spunk, and sassiness. She is one tough cookie with two older brothers and keeps up with whatever they are doing, never wanting to miss out on the action!
ABOUT OUR HOME
We love our home, community, and living in the Midwest! We live in a four bedroom home that offers both indoor and outdoor space to play in. Our home is our happy place and what we love most about it is who we get to share it with and the cherished memories we've created in it. It’s often loud and crazy and we wouldn’t have it any other way! We live in a small town that offers the perfect balance of peace and proximity to the nearby city's diversity and activities.
We love to visit our local parks, swim in the nearby creek, and ride bikes through our neighborhood. One of the things we love most about living in the Midwest is experiencing all four seasons. We love that there are plenty of outdoor activities to do year round. In the Spring and Summer seasons we enjoy visiting our splash pad, community pool, and parks. We also love traveling around Wisconsin and camping in our pop-up camper. In the Fall and Winter we love hiking in the fall colors, raking leaf piles in our yard, and tubing behind the four wheeler at Papa and Nana's farm. There is always something wonderful to explore or enjoy around our Midwest home!
