About Us
Thank you for taking the time to get to know our family and for considering us in such an important decision. Our prayer is that you find peace and clarity in whatever path you choose. If you do choose us, we will be so blessed and your baby will grow up in a home filled with unconditional love.
Our story began when we were living on opposite sides of the country. Cathalina had recently moved to the United States and was living in New Jersey, while Joseph was in his home state of California. We spent months getting to know each other and building a strong friendship before finally meeting in person.
Over the following year, our relationship continued to grow, and we both chose to move to Washington State, where we lived about 30 minutes apart. Later that winter, in 2012, we were married and began building our life together. We worked hard, saved for our first home, and filled our lives with meaningful memories, family traditions, and adventures. Joseph introduced Cathalina to his family, and Cathalina brought Joseph to Colombia to meet hers, blending the cultures and families that have become such an important part of our lives.
From early on, we shared a clear desire to build a family together. In 2022, Our lives changed forever when we welcomed our daughter, Sofia, through adoption—an experience that has deeply shaped our lives and strengthened our commitment to growing our family. Meeting her for the first time was a moment we will never forget. Sofia has brought so much joy into our home, and we are excited for her to become a big sister as our family grows. Our Christian faith is the foundation of our marriage and family life. As a couple, we strive to grow in our relationship with Christ through prayer, studying God’s Word, worship, and serving others. We attend church regularly and are grateful for the community, encouragement, and accountability it provides.
Vision For Raising A Child
Our vision is to raise our children in a loving, Christ-centered home where faith is not only taught but lived out every day. We want our children to know from an early age that they are deeply loved by God, created with purpose, and welcomed into a family that will love, nurture, and encourage them unconditionally.
We hope to build a home centered on prayer, Scripture, grace, compassion, and service to others. We want to teach our children to seek God in both joyful and difficult seasons, to trust Him, and to develop a personal relationship with Jesus. We will encourage questions about faith and create an environment where our children feel safe exploring and growing in their relationship with God.
Most importantly, we want our children to experience the love of Christ through the way we live—as parents who are present, patient, forgiving, and committed to one another and to our family. Our prayer is that our children will grow up knowing they belong, understanding their identity and worth in Christ, and becoming a kind, confident, compassionate person who loves God and loves others.
ABOUT Joseph
I grew up in California in a large, close-knit family, which shaped how much I value connection and time together. I look forward to passing those same values to my children.
Music has always been an important part of my life. I play guitar and piano, sing, and have performed at live events, including weddings.
I'm a purple belt in jiujitsu and enjoy competing at tournament and sharing knwoledge with other students.
A major priority for me is teaching my children self-defense so they can develop confidence, and the ability to protect themselves, if needed.
This photo was taken in Mexico, where I had the honor of officiating a wedding and playing guitar during the celebration. Moments like these remind me how meaningful it is to serve others and celebrate life's special milestones.

ABOUT Cathalina
I was born and raised in Colombia. I have two brothers, and I come from a multicultural family—my dad is from Argentina, and my mom is from Colombia. My parents have been happily married for 44 years. Family has always been very important to me, and becoming a mother has only deepened that love and appreciation.
My passions inlcude reading, cooking, dancing, and growing houseplants.
My favorite time of the year is summer. I enjoy being outdoors, camping and hiking. I also value quiet time at home with a blaket and a cup of teas after a busy day.
I'm huge fan of Hispanic, Italiand and Asian food. I love how meals can bring comfort, connection, and special memories with family and friends.
We love sports, cheering each other on, and creating joyful moments!

Sundays are a special part of our family's week. Sofia loves spending time with her friends in Sunday School, where she learns about God's love while having fun and building meaningful friendships.

ABOUT OUR HOME
Our home is on a safe street where we like to host the holodays with our family and friends coming over to celebrate.
We continued looking each other with love, respect, and enjoy doing life together.
