Bobby's TESTIMONY
loving family I was shown, thru education and by example what a life of faith is and how it
would help prepare me for the challenges in life that lie ahead. My parents were the primary
source of instilling faith in myself and my brothers. Though it has not always been easy, my
faith has provided great strength and courage in difficult times and has pushed me in times of
turbulence to do what is right and just and that has been a great source of peace in my life.
My faith has continued to be fostered and nurtured by my amazing wife Kristine, our
families which our near, and a community of faithful friends. We attend church daily, when
possible, but always weekly. We attend classes and groups hosted by our church to stay close
to God and continue to grow spiritually. God, spirituality and philosophy are big topics within
my family and whether at the dining table, relaxing on the back deck, or sitting in a recliner, we
often discuss different bible readings/teachings with current topics and how that relates to our
modern times. My wife and I continue to be active in our church where we acted as youth
group leaders, my wife sings for Mass and I am on our Parish Council Committee.
We continue to pray for God’s Will in our lives as it relates to our current family and
specifically what plans God has in store for our future family. We adopted our Son Alexander in
2020 and have been amazed at the blessing he has been to our immediate family but also to his
surrounding family and cousins. We have taught him about Jesus since his first day of life and
continue to be in awe of his love and attention of Jesus and his veneration of crucifixes and
images of Jesus. God has blessed our family in ways too numerous to count and we look
forward to sharing those blessings with those we encounter on the journey ahead
Kristine's TESTIMONY
consist of putting God first in all things. We attend daily Mass as often as we can and pray daily
both alone and together as a family. I was raised Catholic and have strived to live out my faith
in all aspects. I have a close relationship with God and seek to do his will always. He is close to
me. In order to foster my relationship with Jesus I pray daily, attend mass about 4 to 5 times
per week and receive the sacraments as frequently as possible. I attend a yearly Women of
Christ conference which helps enkindle the fire as most retreats do!
I graduated from Ave Maria University with a degree in Theology. Afterwards I served as
a missionary with the Fellowship of Catholic University Students (FOCUS) for three years. I
served on the college campus where I led bible studies, mentored students in the faith and gave
talks at conferences and events. After three years of service I took a position as Director of
Faith Formation for the Basilica of Saint Francis Xavier in Dyersville, IA. I ministered at that
church for three years before meeting my husband. Now, I serve our community by leading
bible studies and book studies. I share my talents by cantering at mass and helping out at
different parish functions such as the yearly Lenten fish fry’s. My husband and I were youth
leaders for three years and just recently stepped down from that position to focus on our
family.
We adopted Alex as an infant in 2020 and felt called to focus our attention on our family
unit. He was baptized one month after his birth and knows who Jesus is. In fact, Alex’s first
word was Daddy and his second word was Jesus. We read him Christian books and bible stories
and celebrate all the religious holidays. We have taught Alex how to pray and do so every day
before meals and bedtime. Most importantly, we try and teach him the love of Christ by our
example of love and service to one another.
Letter to you

Bobby also grew up in a Catholic home. His parents were the prime example of Christ for him. Bobby struggled in his faith journey as a young college student but had a powerful conversion at the age of 22 and has since never stopped striving for holiness. This desire to be close to Christ was the most attractive trait that his wife, Kristine, fell in love with.
Together, Bobby and Kristine, live out their Catholic faith by praying together, attending Church as frequent as possible, and volunteering in their parish. Bobby is on the parish counsel and volunteers. They were youth group leaders and Kristine cantors for their parish. She also leads two bible studies.
