We met in 2013 at a birthday party for a mutual friend. After a brief introduction, I went home and “stalked” Brendon on Facebook. After looking through his profile and thinking he was the cutest guy I had ever seen, I quickly added him as a friend. A week later he sent me a message and asked me on a date. The rest is history! We dated for two and a half years before we got engaged. Brendon surprised me by having our entire family waiting for us at dinner after he proposed and then surprised me again after dinner by having an engagement party with all of our friends waiting to celebrate. Brendon always goes above and beyond to make me feel special and he pulled out all of the stops for our engagement. We were married on February 6, 2016 in Dallas, Texas. Our wedding was the most memorable day of our lives. We celebrated our love for each other surrounded by all of the love of our family and friends. It was truly unforgettable! Since our big day, we have been through some highs and lows, but through it all, we have become stronger. We live each day together as a team and as best friends. We work to encourage one another daily, we respect and value each other’s opinions, and we do and we do a lot of laughing which helps to make our days bright!

He’s an active two-year-old who loves to be outside exploring, running, and playing. He has the most empathetic heart and loves to greet every person he sees! Our hope is that Harrison can have a sibling to share in all of his fun adventures!
Dear Birth Mom,
We are Amanda, Brendon, and Harrison! We cannot begin to imagine what it would feel like to make the decision you are presented with, but we are incredibly grateful to you for taking the time to learn more about us. We are excited about the possibility of growing our family through adoption. We admire your courage, compassion, and bravery in considering adoption for your child.
We have always known that we wanted to have children. After many years of miscarriages and failed infertility treatments, we adopted our beautiful baby boy, Harrison in 2021. He is our biggest blessing! Becoming a mom and dad has been the greatest joy of our lives, and because we went through a lot trying to expand our family, we don’t take for granted even the smallest joys of parenthood. We feel very fortunate to start this journey again! We have had the joy of seeing the world through our little boy’s eyes, and we cannot wait for Harrison to have a best friend to adventure with! Both of us grew up in loving homes, and are extremely close to our families. We want nothing more than to give another child the same life that we were blessed to have growing up. We are incredibly grateful and proud of the life that we have built and know, in our hearts, that this is the right time to grow our family. We have a beautiful son, amazing families, wonderful friends, and careers that we are thankful for. We know, without a doubt, that with our love and extensive support system, we will give a child a wonderful home and family full of unconditional love.
Our hearts are filled with prayers and thoughts for you during this time. We want to express our admiration for the courageous and beautiful decision you have made to embrace the gift of life for your precious child. May you find strength, comfort, and overwhelming love surrounding you every step of the way.
About Brendon written by Amanda:
Brendon is the most incredible man I know! He is my rock, my strength when I am weak, my listening ear, my encourager, but most of all the love of my life. To say that Brendon is my favorite person would be an understatement. He is the best dad in the world to our sweet Harrison, hard working in all that he does, dedicated to his family, and strong in his faith. He loves with his whole heart, would give the shirt off his back for anyone in need, and has never met a stranger. He makes me want to be a better person! I love watching his face light up when he comes home to Harrison at the end of his work days. Harrison adores him! He is so much fun, always ready to play, gives the greatest hugs, and most important, he loves a good cuddle. It has been the blessing of a lifetime to watch him be a daddy to our son. I cannot wait to watch him become the best dad for a second time to one lucky child!
We are very close with our families. Being surrounded by our parents and siblings is one of the most important things we enjoy doing. We make sure that we spend at least one weekend a month visiting Brendon’s mom, dad, and brother as well as Amanda’s parents or hosting them at our home. We enjoy spending our holidays together as one big family. We are so blessed to be close to Amanda’s brother, sister-in-law, and nephew whom we get to see often. We spend holidays together with our families and have different traditions with both sides of our family including Christmas Eve pajamas! We eat weekly Sunday night dinners with Amanda’s brother, sister-in-law, and cousins who live close by as well. We love traveling to the mountains and the the beach each summer with our families. We have made many memories traveling with our families over the years and look forward to continuing these traditions with another child. We have a strong support system in our family that surrounds us with so much love and support! They are all ready to welcome another grandbaby or niece/nephew into their lives!
Brendon loves doing all things outdoors! He enjoys mountain biking, working in the yard, projects around the house, and any type of outdoor activities including hiking and running, hunting, fishing, woodworking, family time, reading, camping, and CrossFit
About Amanda written by Brendon:
Amanda is the sweetest, most caring person, the best mommy to Harrison, and at the same time, undeniably tough as nails. She is nurturing and loving with all people in her life. Family always comes first, no matter the situation. She’s a very hard worker and great at balancing many different tasks – whether it’s playing with Harrison, counseling students every day, trying a new recipe in the kitchen, or planning a get-together with friends or family. One of the many things I love about Amanda is her sense of humor. It is the best! She has an infectious laugh that can be heard for miles. Her good sense of humor, loving personality, and trustworthiness are qualities I know she’ll pass along to our child. She is a wonderful mother and will welcome another child with unconditional love.

Amanda enjoys working out doing Pilates and barre. She also enjoys playing make-believe with Harrison, reading books, exploring new recipes in her favorite cookbooks, and testing them out for Brendon and Harrison to try! Any kind of organizing and work to be done around the house makes her heart happy! She is a school counselor, so being around children gives her the most joy!

We live in a beautiful four-bedroom, four-bathroom home. Our street is very family friendly and filled with children of every age. During the summer, our neighborhood hosts a 4th of July parade and a huge fireworks show that people drive from far and wide to see. We cannot wait to share this annual tradition with a child! During the summer, the library in our neighborhood has weekly readings of children’s books and activities that we participate in with Harrison including movie nights. We also live close to our local school and are excited for our children to attend school close to home.
