We know it sounds cliche, but we met online…by accident. We connected via social media, thinking that the person we connected with was someone else. When we started looking at each other’s pictures, we soon noticed that there had been a case of mistaken identity. After realizing we didn’t actually know each other, we had a mutual friend reach out to us individually to try and play matchmaker. We chatted back and forth for three weeks via email, talking about everything you can imagine – music, work, church, friends, food, and life. Our first conversation on the phone was incredible and lasted for several hours. After a month of speaking to each other, we decided to meet. Our first date was the day before Valentine’s Day and we both knew instantly that we were going to marry each other. From then on, we frequented new and unique restaurants, wandered through museums, hung out at the beach, and got to know each other’s friends and family. 13 months after our first date, we were married, and it has been the most incredible journey.

Brennyn is our little diva, full of spunk and wit. She is extremely smart, very imaginative, loves to dance, sing, and be a helper. She is looking forward to having a new sibling so she can help with feeding and changing diapers.
Dear Birth Mom,
Hello! We are excited to share our life story with you, and we are hopeful that you will see (and feel) the love in our hearts that we are ready to share with both you and your precious child. We are so grateful for you and your decision to pursue adoption. We have been married for almost 13 years and have two incredible children: Cohen just turned 10 years old, and Brennyn is 7. We also have an almost 2-year-old mini goldendoodle named Willa that is the life of the party! Family is so important to us, and after suffering with 2 miscarriages early on in our marriage, we were blessed to be able to grow our family. As a family, we love to travel, enjoy the neighborhood parks, go on long walks with our pup, and really just love being outside. We are also ‘wrestling parents’, as Cohen is a competitive wrestler, and Brennyn wrestles for fun.
At the beginning of this year, God placed adoption on our hearts. After praying as a couple, we decided to begin pursuing adoption to expand our family. Our decision to adopt is rooted in a deep sense of compassion and love and we have a sincere desire to provide a nurturing and stable home for your child. We recognize that the decision to pursue adoption is a difficult one, and we cannot imagine the thoughts and emotions that you are dealing with. As you navigate this important decision, know that you and your sweet baby are being prayed for. We believe that God is FOR YOU and that he will give you the strength, peace, wisdom, and comfort needed as you walk through this process.
Thank you for taking the time to learn a bit about us. We are hopeful that this is the beginning of a beautiful journey for you, your baby, and our family.
About Caleb (in Alaine’s words):
Caleb is truly one of a kind and there are so many things that I admire about him. He believes in the importance of hard work and that things in life shouldn’t be given out, except for gifts, of course – he’s wonderful at gift giving! He is a true leader in our home, and I love that he leads our family in prayer and teachings about Jesus. He is kind, compassionate, trustworthy, loyal, and one of the most generous people I know. He has a calmness about him and never seems to get stressed about anything. He loves Gad, his family, and loves people, regardless of their background. Caleb never meets a stranger and knows how to make people feel comfortable. He is musically talented and has the most amazing singing voice, can play the piano, and loves to serve people. He is also the best dad to our two kiddos. He supports our children in their endeavors, guides them through tough situations, listens to them and gives the best advice, reads Barbie books with our daughter and loves watching America’s Funniest Home Videos with our son. He will do anything for our kids and is excited to share all these things, and more, with our adopted child as well.
Caleb's grandfather pastored a church in his town for almost 50 years before he retired, so my sister and I grew up sleeping under the pews. My dad, Charles, has been in the restaurant industry for over 20 years and is currently a manager at a Cracker Barrel in our city. My mom, Laura, has been working for an insurance company for about 20 years as well. She and my dad both seem to know everyone that lives in their town. My sister, Hannah, is an amazing cook and an incredible worship leader at their church where her husband, Timothy, is the assistant pastor. They have three daughters named Addison, Eden, and Camilla.
About Alaine (in Caleb’s words):
Alaine genuinely cares about others. She always goes above and beyond the surface level and takes the time to notice and acknowledge people as valuable individuals. Alaine’s joyful and optimistic nature is a source of inspiration for me, our children, and everyone she encounters. She encourages others to look for the positive in every situation and guides others in turning negatives into positives. Alaine’s determination to have fun and make the most out of any situation adds a special spark to our lives. Her ability to find joy in the simplest of moments is a testament to her vibrant personality. Alaine’s nurturing nature is remarkable, and she goes the extra mile to provide guidance and encouragement to those in need. Whether it’s offering a listening ear, providing emotional support, or lending a helping hand, Alaine is always there for our family and others. Her presence brings comfort and reassurance, creating a safe and nurturing environment. She is a remarkable mother who consistently demonstrates her love, dedication and care. Regardless of how busy the day may be, she always prioritizes making herself available to our kids. Alaine’s energy and enthusiasm make her the perfect playmate for our children. She engages them in various activities, infusing joy and excitement into their shared experiences. She is excited about the opportunity to provide love and support to another child. Her commitment to nurturing and creating a solid foundation for the child’s growth demonstrates her desire to see them succeed and thrive in every stage of life.
Alaine's parents, Raul and Judy, have lived in the same home for the past thirty-seven years. That is the only home that we know - so many memories have been made there! My sister, Lauren, and her husband, Cody, live about five minutes from my parents with their children, Isabella and Jace. Lauren is a nurse practitioner in my dad's medical practice. I'm the only one in my family that decided to venture aware from the medical field. My dad is a collector of motorcycles and trikes and has five in his motorcycle shed that he rotates through often. As a hobby, my mom took up stained glass and now attends class weekly and seems to start a new glass project every few months.

We live in the great state of Texas in a beautiful three-bedroom, three-bathroom townhome, and have access to multiple neighborhood parks within a 5-minute radius of our home. We love to be outside with our kids, which tends to involve going on long walks with Willa, going to the park, having a bat gammon competition (usually boys vs. girls. LOL), drawing sidewalk chalk designs, planting new plants and flowers, and bike riding. We are near nature preserves, walking trails, restaurants, museums, movie theaters, the zoo, and within a twenty-minute drive of practically anything our city has to offer. We also enjoy spending time inside our home, making beautiful memories with our family. Whether playing games, having a movie night, or throwing a large gathering with both extended families, our home is full of laughter and love. We are truly blessed!
The elementary school that our children attend represents over fifty countries, and we are thankful we live in a diverse city with various cultures that our children get to experience daily. We feel it is so important that our children are exposed to and learn to appreciate ways of life and values that are perhaps different than their own.
Caleb and Alaine have a hybrid work schedule where we work from both the office and at home, and it has opened up so many beautiful opportunities for our family. We also both have very flexible jobs that give 8 weeks paid time off for adoption! Once we head back to work, baby will be attending a Montessori school in our incredible community. We truly love our home and our community and can't wait to welcome another child into it!
