We have always felt called to adopt, and passionate that families can be defined by LOVE as well as biology. We are grateful to be considered as you make such a loving decision for your baby.

Hello!
Each expectant mother walks a unique path, so we don’t want to make the mistake of assuming anything about you or your situation. We will simply say thank you for taking the time to learn a little about us as you navigate all of your options. We appreciate and respect you for considering adoption for the Precious Gift you are carrying. We hope to learn more about your story soon, but nothing changes the fact that we love and want to walk alongside you the rest of your journey.
We are Brenton and Heather, and we have been happily married for 12 years. We are originally from California and we’ve moved several times, but no we are settled in Central Texas. We enjoy the community feel of a smaller city, yet we are able to take advantage of everything Austin has to offer less than an hour away. We love finding new restaurants, playing board games, taking walks through our neighborhood, and spending time with family and friends. Brenton is the grillmaster of our family and loves DIY projects. Heather loves to bake and is learning to speak Spanish.
Since we met at 18 years old we have discussed creating our family through adoption. Both of our families have beautiful examples of “family by choice” where our loving relationships are not defined by biology. We have prayed and prepared for so long, and we are excited for parenthood to become part of our story! Heather is a nurse and Brenton is a home inspector. We both love our jobs, and we have the flexibility to take turns staying home with a baby.
Should you choose us as the family for your child, we would love an open relationship with you at your comfort level. You will be part of our “family by choice,” and you will always have a place in our family and in our child’s life. We promise to always be genuine and honest with you, even when its’ awkward! We pray for the Lord to bless your pregnancy, and to give you clarity and peace in your decision-making.
With love, Brenton & Heather
Growing up it felt like, if the church doors were open, I was there. My parents were deeply involved in the church and created a culture where the body of Christ was highly valued. I accepted Christ as my Savior when I was young, probably around age 6, and my young life was spent attempting to figure out what that meant. My faith was a large part of my life but it wasn't until college that I really felt a challenge to make it more personal. Following Christ had always been a priority, but I then got more interested in theology. Heather and I got married in 2012 and I knew that I needed to be the leader of our household. I am certainly not perfect but I try to make sure that we both are doing our best to follow God's will for our lives and marriage. Our time in Memphis also brought us to an incredible church that further challenged me to grow closer to God and since then I have made it a priority to walk daily with Him.
I accepted Christ at Vacation Bible School when I was in first grade. I knew I had Jesus in my heart, but He became most real to me in ninth grade when my little brother miraculously recovered from a terrible accident. I chose to become a nurse after seeing nurses care for my brother so well with empathy and servants' hearts.
The Lord's power and faithfulness continued to be demonstrated to my family and I throughout the years.
He had His hand in choosing my sweet husband, and in guiding us to get on the same page in our marriage with our finances. We took Dave Ramsey’s Financial Peace University in 2014 and it changed our marriage and our ideas of stewardship and giving. When I finished graduate school we began leading a small group for married couples, and the Lord taught us more than we could have imagined! Despite several moves, job changes, health challenges, and family heartbreaks, God has been faithful and shown us grace.
"Brenton is the sweetest man I have ever met. He is optimistic, easygoing, patient, and always up for fun! It is important to him that everyone he loves is happy. As a father he will take his role as a guide very seriously, and teach our children with kindness, faith, and creativity. I know he can't wait to share his love of music, sports, and dad jokes with a child. He will be an amazing dad!" - Heather
We renovated a house together in 2020-2021, and it was a fun challenge. Brenton is so talented with DIY projects!

Heather is a certified registered nurse anesthetist (CRNA).
"Heather is loving, compassionate, loyal, and generous. She devotes her whole self to what she loves. Heather has been caring for pepole professionally for more than a decade and I know that she will care for our child with even greater tenacity. She is a passionate follower of Christ and a truly incredible wife. I fell in love with her quickly and deeply because of her devotion to her family, her sense of humor, and her strong work ethic." - Brenton

Heather is a CRNA who administers anesthesia and makes sure patients are safe and comfortable for surgery. She has a compressed schedule where she works 10 or 12-hour shifts and has 3 or 4 days off per week. She will also have four months of maternity leave to spend bonding with the baby!
We spend our free time with our village, which we call our "family by choice." We love being aunt and uncle to our best friends' kids!
Heather is more of an introvert, and she is just as content chilling on the couch and spending quality time as she is going out. She is fiercely protective of her people.
We live in a safe older neighborhood in a great school district, and we have a playground at the end of our street. Our house is very close to the lake and we are within a hour of the Austin airport.
