Hello! We are Danny and Ingrid. We value our relationship with God, family, and each other, and are excited to share our unconditional love with another child. We are an adventurous, fun-loving family from Wisconsin and look forward to growing our family. Although we have struggled for several years with infertility, long before that God had placed adoption on both of our hearts. Our first discussion about it started back when we were dating long distance. We have been married now for 10 years and have been blessed with our son, Steven, through adoption. Steven would make such a great big brother, and would love to have a sibling to play with.

Steven has been such an added joy to our lives. He was born in North Carolina in 2020 and we were able to be there at his birth. We have an open adoption with his birth parents and send them pictures regularly. He is 3 years old now and has become a favorite among his cousins. He is an easy-going boy and has done a few road trips, camping, and some flying to visit friends and family with us. Steven loves being outside, so we try and get outside daily. He makes us laugh by doing funny dances or flexing his muscles. He will make a great big brother! Steven is sweet, gives tender hugs, and can't get enough of reading books about construction trucks and airplanes.
Dear Birth Mom,
We want you to know we will be praying for you on this journey of placing your child for adoption. Whoever chooses us to parent their child we know it won't be by accident and the Lord will have His hand on you and the child. We don't take the fact that this is a life changing decision for all involved lightly. We want to honor you as best we can in your child's life if that is something that is important to you. We have learned being through this process before that adoption is a bittersweet situation and are educated and as prepared as we can be to handle the difficult conversations that will take place as the child grows up. We will be diligent to raise this child to learn about Jesus and how he or she can have a relationship with Him, teach respect, how to love well, and handle confict in a healthy way, and to know that we will always be a safe place for he or she to come for advice growing up. We have prayed to become parents for many years and will continue to learn how to improve and be better parents for our children. Thank you for considering trusting us with your most precious gift.
I was lucky to be raised in a home with two parents who both loved God and took us to church regularly. I remember being involved in many Christian activities as a child, and most of my friends were kids from church. I remember praying with my mom when I was about 10 years old to ask Jesus to come into my heart and be my Lord and Savior. I never had one big conversion experience, but rather years of continually learning and growing in my understanding of what it meant to have a relationship with God. I’d say I really started to understand my faith more later in high school and into my college years. I did a one year program at a Christian Camp in Rhinelander WI in college, where we helped run the camp, do Bible studies, and several missions trips. I began to understand that faith is a daily relationship with Jesus, and should influence everything you do. It’s not just something you do on Sunday when you go to church. Later I got involved with volunteering at my church in West Bend with the high school youth group. I’ve found that volunteering your time, and serving others is one of the best ways to live out your faith, and make it seem alive and real. I’ve tried to carry that into adulthood and look for ways to serve others. Currently I help with the junior high youth group at our church in Eau Claire, and help lead a Men’s Bible study. Being a husband and father also challenges me to serve my wife and son, and not always live for myself. I’m far from perfect, and fail often, but I’m convinced that following God and building my relationship with him is the most worthwhile thing I can do.
I grew up going to a Lutheran Church with my family regularly. I knew about the Bible and stories from it but it wasn’t until I was in Middle school and attended camp at Luther Park Bible Camp in Chetek, WI that I truly made the connection that I can have a personal relationship with Jesus. I had difficulties learning in school and then struggled in high school with my parents divorce. This is when I turned to the Lord even more to get through the tough times. My faith continued to grow then and into college when I was able to have friends that became good community. I ended up going back to the camp that I had gone to as a child to become a camp counselor there for 2 summers during my college years. I never had one specific moment when my life changed and I committed myself to God, but He was continuously working in my heart. I have now been a believer for many years and always cling to the knowledge that by grace I am saved and upon this I put my hope.
I love him for his storytelling that captivates a room and ends in laughter. His laugh is contagious. I admire Danny for his great work ethic. He is a driven person. While he was working as a fire fighter/paramedic, he turned our rental properties into a property management business. Danny is now a real estate developer and property manager full time. He has a strong faith that has provided wisdom when making life decisions for our family.
Danny and his brothers and nephews boating. He enjoys being on the water any chance he can get.
He likes to go hiking and is so strong! Haha! Our family goal is to visit all the National Parks.
Danny likes taking his family to a camp he grew up going to. They have fun activities in winter too.
He likes spending time outside and having Steven experience some of his hobbies.
Danny's parents are still married and he has 3 brothers. We have 7 nieces and nephews who are so fun to play with, and they would love another little cousin to dote on. Family and friends are very important to us. We have large family get-togethers for holidays with lots of food and laughter. We also like to go on trips with them out west to either hike or downhill ski, or rent a cabin on a lake in Wisconsin to go swimming, fishing, pontooning, and paddle boarding.
Christmas is one of our favorite holidays. All the cousins sing "Happy Birthday to Jesus!"
We like to take family hikes together and be outside.
We had Steven dedicated when he turned 1. Our family is so supportive and will help foster Steven's faith.
Steven loves his grandparents. We went to Florida on a vacation with them!
We like to stay up north together at a cabin for a long weekend in the summer.
Danny has an Associate's Degrees in Fire Science and Paramedic. He worked for the City of Eau Claire Fire Department for 13 years and then retired. While he was working as a fire fighter/paramedic, he turned our rental properties into a property management business. Danny is now a real estate developer and property manager full time. He has a great work ethic!
Danny enjoys deer hunting, elk hunting out west, and running half marathons where he competes against his friends. He bonds with his brothers and dad watching sports. Danny is a breakfast guy and makes the tastiest pancakes and french toast! He connects very easily with people from all walks of life and has maintained friendships from childhood. Danny is such a good dad. He is able to get the best giggles out of Steven and is tender-hearted when he needs to be as well. He is adventurous and spontaneous. Danny makes life more exciting, and I am so blessed to experience it with him.
She is sweet, adventurous, and courageous all at the same time. She has a HUGE heart and loves people with all of it. She is wise and has a deep faith in God, but loves to laugh and be silly also. She likes to travel to warm places, cook healthy food, be active, and take good care of herself.
Ingrid is a lover of chai tea lattes!
Ingrid loves the beach and any time she goes, you can find her looking for shells.
We like to travel. Steven even has a passport! This is in Aruba.
Ingrid's mom and dad are divorced and we have a great relationship with both of them. Ingrid has a twin sister and younger half-sister that we enjoy spending time with. All of our family and friends are excited about our adoption journey, and any child who joined our family would instantly have a huge support system of people who love and care about him or her.
This is Ingrid's dad, stepmom, and sister Carly. We went on a Christmas hike.
Ingrid's mom is a loving and active grandma. She will be excited to welcome any child that joins our family!
Ingrid's dad & stepmom are caring grandparents and they live close. They will be involved grandparents.
I've earned two degrees, the first one was a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education. I went back to school and earned an Associate's Degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant. I have now been a therapist for 13 years and work in the skilled nursing facilities in the area. I worked full time for many years and then when we adopted our son I left my full time job to stay home and take care of him, and now I work once a week.
I enjoy being active and getting outside for a walk, hike, biking, or rollerblading when it is nice. When the weather isn't the greatest I workout at the gym. I enjoy cooking healthy meals and hosting friends and family at our house. I have a good group of girlfriends and we get together for brunch and play dates with the kids. We have wonderful neighbors who also have children Steven's age so we enjoy spending time with them. I love to travel, especially to warm places! I'm involved in our church with the children's ministry and lead a women's Bible study. My faith is very important to me and I wouldn't be who I am without my relationship with Jesus.

Steven's favorite things to do outside are biking, digging in his sandbox, and going to the playground.
He loves singing, listening to, and playing music.
He enjoys going on the swing and always giggles!
We love spending time on our front porch. The neighborhood is in a safe area and we have great neighbors who also have kids Steven's age. Our house is in town on a cul du sac, which is so nice to have extra space for kids to play. We live near woods so we see a lot of wild life like deer and turkey roaming through the area. We take Steven to our neighborhood playground. He always giggles on the swing. We enjoy hosting family and friends. Whether it is to grill out or watch the Packers play, we have a good time. We host international students that come to study at the nearby University. We cook their authentic food with them and learn about their culture while providing them a support system when they are away from home. We love celebrating Christmas most of all and have created some fun traditions. We look forward to our children adding to and experiencing those traditions.
This is our backyard, which is fenced in and safe. We have a nice big sandbox.
This playground is a block from our home. In winter there is an ice skating and sledding area.
We have amazing friends who are like family to us. A few of our good friends have also adopted, so our children will grow up having friends who can relate to them as adoptees.
Beach vacation to Florida with some good friends.
Every summer we go with friends to our local outdoor country music festival.
